Superior receiver sensitivity, superior speaker audio
The IC-M411 has -5dBμ (typical at 20dB SINAD) superior sensitivity for class-leading receiver performance. The improved speaker also reproduces better low frequency audio composition for clear authoritative audio.
Class D DSC built-in
The IC-M411 has built-in Class D DSC capability and provides safety at sea. It allows you to emit a formatted distress signal with a push of the distress button, if in an emergency situation. The DSC watch function monitors Ch70 activity, while you are receiving another channel.
Position request and polling request
When connected to an external GPS receiver, the position request function allows you to exchange the ships position information. The polling (request/reply) function checks whether a specific ship is in the communication range.
Rugged waterproof protection
Built to withstand the hazardous marine environment for protection against salt water or rainy conditions, the IC-M411 resists water at 1.0m depth for 30 minutes, equivalent to IPX7 rating. All products are rigorously checked to pass the quality test at the factory before shipping.

AquaQuake draining function
If water is in the speaker grill and muffles the audio, Icom’s unique AquaQuake draining function emits a buzzing sound which sheds water from the speaker, assuring you sharp, clear communications.*The AquaQuake draining function blows water away from the speaker.
